What is soft wash?
Soft wash is the only manufacturing approved and proven method of cleaning shingle roofs. Soft wash can be used for various surfaces as well including; stucco, concrete, fascia, dryvit, Metal, and vinyl. If the surface has organic growth, then soft wash can clean and sanitize it. The process is a low-pressure, chemical based cleaning solution that kills the bacteria, algae, fungus, moss, etc.
How does it differ from pressure washing?
While pressure washing has its purposes, it can also do irreversible damage to your surfaces. You should never use high-pressure on your shingles as this will void any warranty that the manufacture holds, and damage the shingles beyond repair. Pressure washing is also limited to limited surfaces and simply cleans the surface. Soft wash has the ability to clean and sanitize surfaces by killing the organic growth down to the root.
