Soft wash is the only manufacturing approved and proven method of cleaning shingle roofs.  Soft wash can be used for various surfaces as well including; stucco, concrete, fascia, dryvit, Metal, and vinyl. If the surface has organic growth, then soft wash can clean and sanitize it. The process is a low-pressure, chemical based cleaning solution that kills the bacteria, algae, fungus, moss, etc.

While pressure washing has its purposes, it can also do irreversible damage to your surfaces.  You should never use high-pressure on your shingles as this will void any warranty that the manufacture holds, and damage the shingles beyond repair.
